Ruth M. Jines, 88, lifetime resident of Wabash, passed away 10:35 p.m. on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Renaissance Village.
She was born to the late Richard and Lena (LaSonde) Rhoads on April 6, 1922 in Wabash, Indiana. She married Leslie T. Jines on August 30, 1942, he passed away October 24, 1974. Ruth retired from General Tire in Wabash. She was a member of Eagles Lodge 549 and Moose Lodge 1195 both of Wabash.
She is survived by two sons, Dean Jines(Vonnie) of Columbia City and Jack L. Jines of Tampa, Florida; sister, Lenell Scott of Wabash; five grandchildren, Dennis Jines (Marcia) of Columbia City, Mrs. Todd (Denise) Porter of Columbia City, Mrs. Anthony (Angela) Gebbia of St. Petersburg, Florida, Eric Jines of San Francisco, California and Jenna Jines of Fort Wayne; seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters, along with her husband and parents.
Services will be 10 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2010 at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Avenue, Wabash, Indiana 46992. Burial will follow in the Friends Cemetery in Wabash County, Indiana.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Wabash Moose Lodge or Wabash Eagles Lodge in care of the funeral home.
