Robert Wright, 92, of Rushville, died Jan. 9, 2009.
Born July 26, 1916 in Rush County, he was the son of John H. and Catherine "Katy" Myers Wright, both deceased. He married Shirley Van Sickle Kaster Jan. 23, 1989; she survives.
Mr. Wright was a 1935 graduate of Rushville High and a lifetime member of Elks Lodge 1307. He was a retired farmer from the Manilla and Walker Township area.
Survivors in addition to his wife include sons, John Robert (Patty) Wright of Rushville, Phil (Noreen) Wright of Manilla and Mike (Kathy) Wright of Manilla; step sons, Gary (Donna) Palmer of Alexander, Ala., Ronnie (Mary) Palmer, Randy (Rita) Kaster, Billie Joe Kaster and Charles Kaster, all of Rushville; eight grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery with Pastor Mick Saunders officiating. There will be no public viewing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 6100 W. 96th Street, Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46278-6005.
