Married Martha A. Craig on Jul.21,1855 in Marion Co., IL. She died sometime after 1910, reportedly in Kay Co., OK.

The 111th IL Reg. company rolls say that he died in 1864 and also show, along with other family records, his middle initial as D.

His younger brother Nicholas and brother-in-law William H. Lack served in the same regiment.
