Joseph Kanuch, 79, of 611
West River St., died yesterday
at 2:10 p.m. in Elyria Memorial
Hospital after a short illness.
Born In Hungary Feb. 3,
1888, Mr. Kanuch lived in
Elyria four years. He was a
retired coal miner (Buckingham Coal Company), a member
of St. Agnes Church and the
National Slovak Society.
Surviving are his wife, Mary
M.; two daughters , Mrs.
Frank Swaro, Corning, Ohio,
and Patricia, Congo Ohio; six
sons, Michael, Paul and
Frank, all of Elyria, Joseph
and Andrew, both of Congo,
and James, living in Texas; 16
grandchildren and one great
grandchild.
Funeral service will be Saturday
in St. Paul Church, Athens,
and burial will be in Athens
City Cemetery. Local arrangements
were made by the
Sudro Curtis Funeral Home
which took the body yesterday
to the Carl W Hermey Funeral
Home in Corning.
