Son of Ida and Alfred Fry. Born on a farm north of Exline April 30, 1893. Married to Nora Neveda Wages April 29, 1912 and to this union, 7 children were born. His wife and two sons, Glenn Jr., and Alfred, who was killed in action in Germany April 6, 1944, preceded him in death. He married his second wife, Min Merritt June 29, 1940. Glenn died at 55 suddenly in his sleep around 5:30 p.m. Sat., April 9th. He had been ill since Wed., but was thought to be much improved. Members of his family visited with him until 5:00 p.m. when he fell asleep. His son went to awaken him at 10 p.m. and found him dead. Funeral services were held at the Johnson Funeral Home Wed. at 2:00 p.m.
Surviving are his second wife, Min Merritt, whom he married June 29, 1940, and one son,Wilbur, four daughters: Alfreda Wolver, Moravia Route; Doris Houser, Moulton Route; and Dorothy Banks and Wilma Daniels of Centerville Route. Eleven grandchildren, one brother, Clell Fry, two sisters, Grace Bauman and Alma White, one step daughter, Evelyn Hawkins of Davenport and three step grandchildren, also survive.
Rev. Lester Greenwood officiated and burial was held in the Exline Cemetery.
