She was born Aug. 20, 1936, to Madeline Roxann Odell Martin, a resident of Stanleytown Health Care Center, and Calvin Woodrow Martin, deceased.
She was a 1955 graduate of Martinsville High School and attended Patrick Henry Community College.
Brugh worked at American Airlines in Chicago and later as a security guard at Bassett Walker in Martinsville before moving to Richmond. There she worked as a security guard until retiring. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Woodrow Martin.
Along with her mother, surviving are three sons, Cullen Brugh of Salem and twins Martin Brugh and Marshall Brugh, both of Pembroke; a daughter, Kimberly D. Brugh of Blacksburg; a sister, Francene M. Scott of Collinsville; a brother, Gary Martin of Mobile, Ala.; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held.
