Clearfield Progress..August 28, 1929,..Venerable Bradford Resident Dies At Home of Son.....D. A. Maines, Venerable Bradford Township Resident, died at the home of his son, John G. Maines, at Pleasant Valley, Tuesday August 27, death was due to complications resulting from a long illness. funeral services will be held at the J. G. Maines home Friday Morning at 10:30 O'Clock Interment in Shiloh Cemetery, Obituary later,.......Clearfield Progress..September 6, 1929..Allen D. Maines, who passed away August 27, 1929, was 75 years of age, He leaves to mourn their loss, his wife Mrs. Rebecca Maines, three sons, and five daughters, as follows, John G. Verdon, David, and Mrs. Malena Maines, all of Woodland., Mrs. Frank Evans, of Clearfield., Mrs. A. R. Hubler, of York., Mrs. Clarence Hummel, of Wallaceton., and Mrs. Milford Hubler, of Dubois., three children died in infancy, and one daughter, Mrs. Arch Jury, preceded him to the grave eight years ago. He lived on the place where he was born and raised, until almost a year ago, when ill health compelled him to leave. Funeral Service was held at the home of his son, John Maines, Interment in the Shiloh Cemetery
