John F Wolpert was one of Arapahoe Counties most enterprising farmers. He was born in Muskingum County, Ohio in 1829. In 1855 he married Emily Gander of Ohio. He came to Colorado in 1872 and started farming along to Platt River near Island Station 12 miles from Denver.
John was the father of Elizabeth, Sarah, Mary, Carrie, John W., and Emily.
