Funeral services for Louise Carmichael, 62, of San Leandro, California, were held Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the Vase Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Hardy of SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church officiating.

Pallbearers were Kenneth Skip Painovich, Steve Painovich, George Fabiny Jr., George Fabiny Sr., Steve Bucho and Bill Aho.

A parish rosary was recited at the funeral home, and burial was in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Carmichael died Feb. 15 at the Eden West Rehabilitation Center in Hayward, California, where she had been a patient for one week.

A resident of San Leandro for the past 40 years, Mrs. Carmichael had lived in Rock Springs 20 years prior to moving to California.

She had been in ill health the past two months.

She was born in Virden, Ill., on May 17, 1916, the daughter of the late John and Julia Marinko Fabiny Sr. She attended schools in Rock Springs and was a graduated of the Rock Springs High School. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Survivors include one son, Staff Sergeant Donald Lee Carmichael who is stationed with the United States Air Force in Turkey; three brothers, George Fabiny of Rock Springs, Andy Fabiny of San Bernardino, Calif., and Steve Fabiny of Richmond, Calif.; three sisters, Ann Painovich of Rock Springs, Mrs. Steve (Kay) Bucho of Rock Springs and Mrs. Bill (Agnes) Aho of Rock Springs; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, John Fabiny.
