Franklinville resident, formerly of Lewistown

Kathleen J. Allison, 80, who had
resided with her sister at Spruce
Creek since 1992, and formerly of
Lewistown, died at 3:34 p.m. Satur­
day, July 26, 1997, in the Tyrone
Hospital.
Born July 31, 1916, at Lewistown,
she was a daughter of the late Samuel
L. and Maizie (McColm) Allison.
Surviving is her sister, Mrs. Harold
(Marjorie) Wertz, of Franklinville,
with whom she had resided.
Miss Allison was a member of the
Upper Spruce Creek Presbyterian
Church, Graysville. She was also a
member of the Warriors Mark Senior
Citizens, the Auxiliary to Benevolent
and Protective Order of Elks Lodge,
Hollywood, Fla.; and Martha's Circle
of First Presbyterian Church, Holly­
wood, Fla.
She and her sister had wintered in
Hollywood, Fla., for several years.
A graduate of Lewistown High
School, Miss Allison worked at
McCrory's 5 & 10, in Lewistown, for
a brief time following her graduation

from high school, then spent a period
of time caring for her mother at their
home. Following her mother's death,
she was employed as a Ble clerk by
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,

Department of Transportation,
Bureau of Motor Vehicles, in Harris-
burg, from which she retired after 14
years of service.
Funeral services will be held at 2
p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at the
Upper Spruce Creek Presbyterian
Church, Graysville, with the Rev.
Ted J. Plott and the Rev. Ronald J.
Lynch officiating. Interment will be
in Franklinville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church
Wednesday, from 1 p.m. until the
hour of the services.
Memorial contributions, in
remembrance of Kathleen J. Allison,
may be given to Upper Spruce Creek
Presbyterian Church, HCR 01, Box
29,Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa. 16865.
