Larry B. Adkins was born August 26, 1953 in Jackson County and departed this life Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson-Breathitt, being 55 years of age. He was the son of the late Ira & Myrtle (Rogers) Adkins.
Larry is survived by two sisters- Brenda Isaacs & her husband Wiley "Buck" Isaacs and Carol Isaacs & her husband Lannie Isaacs all of Sand Gap.
In addition to his parents, Larry was also preceded in death by a sister- Kathy Adkins.
He loved to hunt for ginseng, loved his dogs and he enjoyed friends and life to the fullest. Larry was saved in October of 2008.
