This afternoon at one o'clock Mrs. Luther L. Coate, aged 54 years, died following an illness of about three months from a cancer of the liver.
Lorena Jones-Coate was born April 4, 1865, the daughter of Mark and Esther Jones of Wabash county. She was married June 15, 1892 to Luther L. Coate of Wabash and one child was born to them, Martha Esther.
Mrs. Coate is survived by her husband, L.L. Coate and daughter, Martha Esther of Wabash, two brothers, Byron and S.W. Jones, both of Wabash and two sisters, Mrs. Dan Lutz and Mrs. J.T. Whitecraft, also of Wabash.
The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock from the home on West Hill street. Services will be in charge of Rev. Charles Little.
