Anchorage resident CURTIS RICHARDSON, 42, died of cancer Feb. 1, 2002, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. A funeral was at Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E St. Burial was at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Roger Majors, John Kimmons, Pete Freeman, Jessie Binns, Rubin Mathis and Eddie Tracy.
Mr. Richardson was born June 22, 1959, in Shreveport, La. He graduated from high school in Barstow, Calif. He moved to Alaska in 1985. He worked for NANA from 1986 to 1993, then worked maintenance from 1994 to 1995, as a janitor through 1996, and with American Linen from 1996 until July 2001. His family said, ''Curtis was loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.''
Curtis is survived by his wife and two daughters, Drililia, Veidra and Neisha Richardson; his adopted mother, Geri Douglas of Anchorage; adopted brother, Sai Williams of Kenai; his brothers, Tony and Glenn Richardson; and sisters, Joy and Renee Richardson. His mother, Jewel Richardson, preceded Curtis in death. Memorials may be directed towards the American Cancer Society, 1057 W Fireweed Suite 204, 99503. Arrangements are by Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
