Howard F. Griswold, 51, former local resident, died suddenly at 12:30 a.m. today in Purcell, Okla. He was born here on Jan. 22, 1906.
The deceased was a diesel supervisor for the Santa Fe. He belonged to the Methodist Church and the Masons.
Surviving are his widow, the former Ruth Suter; three children, Myron in Chicago, and Judy and Fred at home; two brothers, Frank and Morris, both of Fort Madison; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Wilhelm, Fort Madison, and Mrs. Esther Pardue, Monterey, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
The body will be returned to Fort Madison. The funeral is tentatively set for Saturday afternoon.
