OBIT: Mrs. Patterson Passes Dec. 25-

Mrs. Bertha Patterson, 67, of Ezel, wife of Henry Patterson, died at 2pm Monday, Dec. 25 at her home following a long illness.

Services were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 27 at the Herald and Stewart Funeral Chapel by Rev. Glenn Lawson and burial was in the Ezel Cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.

A native of Morgan County, Mrs. Patterson was born at Bonny, a daughter of the late Pone Pieratt and Lula Dennis Pieratt. She was a member of the Church of God.

Surviving besides the husband are five daughters, Mrs. Edna Clark and Mrs. Virginia Osborne of Artville, Mrs. Geneva Bolin of Ezel, and Mrs. Mary Mildred McMann of Dayton, Ohio; four sons, Wilmer, Clay, Willard, and Robert Patterson, all of Dayton, Ohio; Four sisters, Mrs. Liza Hogg of Kalamazoo, Mich.; Mrs. Irene Plumlee of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; Mrs. Winnie Alice Kemplin and Mrs. Mae Williams of Jeffersonville; and four brothers, Hollie Pieratt of Ezel, Curtis and Asa Pieratt of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Willard Pieratt of Middletown, Ohio.
