OBIT: OVA CARPENTER OF WEST LIBERTY DIES SUDDENLY-

Ova B. Carpenter, 52, of West Liberty died at 3:30pm Thursday, Sept 30, at a Morehead Hospital shortly after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home. he was a member of the Church of God.

Born April 3, 1919, in Morgan County, he was a son of the late Asa B. and Eliza Pieratt Carpenter.

Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Sunday at the Potter Funeral Home Chapel by Rec. Glen Lawson. Burial was in the Ezel Cemetery, Potter Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Carpenter is survived by his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Kemplin Carpenter of West Liberty; two sons, Robert and Richard Carpenter of Cincinnati; a daughter, Mrs. Jeff Austin of Lawrenceburg, Ind., two brothers, Grover and Buford Carpenter of Cincinnati, and two sisters, Mrs. Ray Craft of Middletown, Ohio and Mrs. Beulah Lee, Indiana.
