August 28, 1855 she was united in marriage to Thomas Green, to this union eleven children were born, five of whom together with her husband have preceded her to the Great Beyond.
In March 1880 she professed faith in Jesus Christ and united with the Belle City Baptist Church transferring her membership to the First Baptist Church of McLeansboro, where she remained a faithful member until death.
She leaves to mourn their loss, six children, John H., Joel, George, Adam, Mrs. Tobitha Rose and Mrs. Elizabeth Vaughn; two brothers, Ruben of Hamilton County, Illinois and Douglas of Parma, Missouri, and two sisters, Mrs. Malissa Green, Dexter, and Mrs. Elizabeth Boner of Malden, Missouri. Nineteen grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Funersl services were held at Mt. Pleasant Church, January 28, coducted by Rev. John B . Maulding, after which the body was laid to rest in the cemetery nearby.
