He was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Springfield, the son of William and Anna Boesdorfer Kunz.
He married Margaret Lesko in 1945 in Springfield.
He was preceded in death by one son, Gregory; and two brothers, Edward and Louis.
A lifelong resident of Springfield, Mr. Kunz was retired from Pillsbury Mills and was a member of St. Aloysius Church.
He was a Marine veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret; five sons, Arthur A. Jr. of Pekin, Raymond of North Ridge, Calif., Frank and John F., both of Springfield, and Jeff of Chatham; one daughter, Diane Johnson of Middletown; nine grandchildren; three brothers, William, Russell and LeRoy, all of Springfield; two sisters, Florence Galassi of Springfield and Maxine Richards of Pleasant Plains; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Aloysius Church, with the Rev. James O'Shea officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
