Gertrude Harlow Bloniarczyk, 97, of Cave City, died Thursday, December 12, 2013 at her home.

The Barren County native was the daughter of Harmon and Opha Chapman Harlow and her husband was the late Frank Bloniarczyk. She was a school teacher and school principal for 37 years, spending most of her career in Saginaw, Mich. She was a member of the Park City Baptist Church.

Survivors include a niece Teresa Watson and husband Barry, of Glasgow; two nephews Harmon "Hardy" Harlow and wife Connie, of Park City, and Leo W. Hardy, Jr. of Cave City; several great-nieces and nephews; 1 great-great nephew; 1 great-great-great niece and her caregivers, Mary Glover and Betty Pruitt.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Leo W. Harlow and Leslie Marshall Harlow, and a niece Lesley Childers.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Walnut Hill Baptist Church with burial in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home on Friday beginning at 5 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until time for the service.
