MRS. CATHERINE L. SMITH, widow of the late Thaddeus Smith, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Felix Staub, North street, McSherrystown, Thursday morning at 2:45 o'clock.
Death was due to a complication of diseases. She was aged 78 years, one month and three days.
She was the daughter of the late Michael and Julia Overbaugh.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. James Lawrence, Hanover; Mrs. Frank Martin and Mrs. Felix Staub, McSherrystown. She is also survived by five sisters and two brothers, as follows: Misses Sarah, Joanna, Josephine and Louisa Overbaugh, McSherrystown; Mrs. Mary Smith, Edge Grove; Louis and John Overbaugh, McSherrystown.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's church, McSherrystown, the Rev. L. A. Reudter officiating. Interment will be made in Conewago cemetery.
