Beloved daughter of Elza Peter Buxton and Eliza Esther Hyler Buxton. She was the firstborn child of this union, born on April 25, 1884, in Franklin Township, Mercer County, Ohio.
Bertha was the eldest sister to Ratio Boyd Buxton, Verlin Meryl Buston, Vernon Earl Buxton, Sylvian Elza Buxton, Samuel Cleo Buxton, and Carl Ross Buxton.
In 1906 she met Carl Monroe Reser at a church picnic and they married on January 29, 1907, in Mercer County, Ohio. Together they had four children: Harold (Jack) Leland Reser, Esther Ruth Reser Byrley, Paul A. Reser, and Virginia Mae Reser Yakumithis.
She especially loved her family and gardening. She died at Union City Memorial Hospital in Union City, Indiana on September 28, 1966, at the age of 82. She is buried at Swamp College Cemetery next to her son, Paul A. Reser's marker (lost at sea in WWII).
