Jen P. Christensen Passed Away
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the family residence over the remains of Jens P. Christensen who died Feb 27th from pneumonia following influenza. Bishop J. L. Staples presided. The speakers were J. I. Jensen and Bishop J. L. Staples. Each spoke highly of the departed. The ward choir under the direction of J. D. Montague rendered the following selections: "Nearer My God to Thee," Farewell All Earthly Honors," and "Tho' Deepening Trials." Thos. Nielson offered the opening prayer and Hans Hermansen the closing. A large cortege followed the remains to the cemetery. Bishop J. L. Staples dedicated the grave.
The deceased came to Elsinore from Denmark and has lived here for many years he was 53 years of age and a well-to-do and prosperous farmer. Besides his wife he leaves tho following children; Kathleen, Laura, Chris, George and Arthur.
