Charles C. Richard, 53, of 6716 Lima Road, was dead on arrival at 10:20 a.m. yesterday at Parkview Memorial Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Fort Wayne, he operated Richard's Grocery. 4309 Wells St., for 19 years, retiring four years ago. Mr. Richard was a World War II veteran and served in the Army Infantry in the European Theater.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys; three daughters, Trudy and Judy, both at home, and Mrs. Sharon Householder, Fort Wayne; two stepsons, Charles Bredemeyer and Jack Mougin, both of Fort Wayne; one brother, William RIchard, Fort Wayne; three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Coe, Mrs. Virginia Reed and Mrs. Dorothy Hoffman, all of Fort Wayne, and one grandson.
Friends may cal at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, Rev. John M. Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will be in Eel-River Cemetery.
