The body was removed to the Smith Funeral Home where the remains may be viewed from noon Friday until noon Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted at the Ilasco Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday by Reverend O.H. Boatwright, pastor and Charles Rache. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. Saturday until the hour of services, at the beginning of which the casket will be closed and reopened. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mr. Lane was born near Chillicothe October 30, 1904, a son of Aera A. and Anna Walters Lane. He was a member the Ilasco Methodist Church. Mr. Lane was married June 24, 1929 in Hannibal to Doris O. Barnes. He had been employed with the cement company for 32 years.
Surviving are his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Anita) Altheide of Hannibal, two sons, Buford S. of Van Nuys, Calif., and Franklin L. of Ilasco; two grandchildren, Martin Glenn and Brenton Arthur Lane of Van Nuys; his father of New London; two sisters, Mrs. Tony Arcuri of Hannibal and Mrs. Harold Morgan of Chula Vista, Calif.; four brothers, Charles Lane of Hannibal, Claude and Arnold of Chula Vista and Van Lane of Wentzville."
