Mr.James Payne one of the oldest citizens of Monroe County
died at his home near Nobo(sic) a few days ago.
His residence was completely blown away by the cyclone that passed through Monroe County last June and Mr. Payne received several bruises and was so shocked that he never fully recovered from it. He was truly a good citizen, a clever gentleman and the news of his death is received with feelings of sadness by all who knew him.
