" Louella "Ella" Bowers, daughter of George and Louvina Bowers, was born in Richland County, Ill., on August 9th, 1874, and departed this life at her home near Wynoose, Ill., on Oct 4th, 1944, at the age of 70 years, 1 month and 25 days.
"She was united in marriage with John Andrew Arteberry on Sept. 21st, 1889, who preceded her in death on April 15th, 1902. To this union was born 6 children, Frank of Tiskilwa, Henry of Tiskilwa, Mrs. Daisy Shirley of Toluca, Fred of Olney, and Mrs. Grace Thomas of Putnam, and Pearl who preceded her in death on June 21st, 1902, at the age of 15 months.
She was later married to William Shultz on April 4th, 1910 who preceded her in death on Oct. 8th, 1927. To this union were born one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Morgan of Claremont.
She leaves to mourn their loss, six children, 33 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Clara Long of Olney and one half sister, Mrs. Nina Washington of Broadus, Mont. One sister, Mrs. Dora Atteberry passed away April 15th, 1906. Also two half-brothers, Henry Taylor of Clay City and Oscar Taylor who was making his home with her at the time of her death. She also leaves a number of other relatives and a host of friends. "In early life she united with the United Brethren Church at Wynoose, and she walked beside her Saviour to the end, although health has not permitted her to attend church services for some time."

∼Mrs. Arminta L. Shultz, widow of the late William Shultz, died at her country home, near Wynoose, last Thursday night.
Funeral services were held at the Schaub Funeral Home last Sunday with Rev. Clyde Erwin in charge of the service. Burial in the Green Hill cemetery.
Surviving are the following children; Henry and Frank Arteberry, of Tiskilwa; Mrs. Daisy Shirley, of Toluca; Fred Arteberry, of Olney; Mrs. Wm. Thomas, of Putman, and Mrs. Gladys Morgan; of Claremont.
Mrs. Clara Long, of Olney, and Mrs. Mina Washington, of Boades, Mont. are sisters, and Henry Taylor, of Clay City, and Oscar Taylor, of Noble, are half-brothers.
