B.F. Turner Dies Saturday ~
Benjamin F. Turner, 69, a Cleveland Township farmer and secretary of the Farmers Mutual Insurance Company for a number of years, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday night at his home southwest of here. He had only recently moved to his farm home from Columbia City, where he lived while he was the secretary for the insurance company. Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage. Some time ago he had suffered a stroke of paralysis, and had been in failing health since that time.
Mr. Turner was the son of Thomas and Carolyn Turner; he was born March 9th, 1870. In December 1891 he was married to Miss Frances J. Huffman. She passed away on January 25, 1931.
They were the parents of three daughters; Mrs. Mae McClure and Mrs. Beulah Keel ( both deceased ) and Mrs. Ruth Baublit of Monon, Indiana. On September 30, 1933 he was married to Mrs. Mamie Thomas, who survives.
There is also one sister, Mrs. Laura Chaney of Adrian, Michigan and one brother, David Turner of Caldwell, Idaho and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from the Miller Funeral Home here, with the Reverend Noah McCoy, North Manchester officiating. Internment was made in South Whitley Cemetery.
