Karen,65,died Monday,June 12,2006,at the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Funeral services were held at noon Friday(June 16th)at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa. The Rev. Fred Krauss officiated. With burial in Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa.
Karen was born March 20,1941, in Nekoosa to Thomas and Elsie(Friday)Salter. She married Lester Fuller on Aug.11,1962,in Nekoosa.
She was employed at the Nekoosa Library(Charles & JoAnn Lester Library) for 29 years, retiring as co-director on Jan.1,2001.
Mrs. Fuller was a former Brownie and Girl Scout leader, and helped organize eye and ear exam volunteers at both Humke Elementary and Alexander Middle schools. She was one of the founding members of the Friends of the Nekoosa Library group and was very active in the building of the new Charles & JoAnn Lester Library building. Karen served on both the election board and library board. She very much enjoyed playing darts on Wednesday evening.
She is survived by her husband,Lester (Died Oct.30,2007);three children, Cynthia(Tom)Bates of Wisconsin Rapids, Gary(Ronette)Fuller of Nekoosa, Terri "Missy"(Pete) Ross of Green Bay; four grandchildren, Devon Bates of Eagan, Minn., Eric Fuller of Nekoosa, Austin Ross of Green Bay, and Hailee Fuller of Nekoosa; one sister, Karla Heineck (Died 2008) of Plymouth, and one Uncle, Gerald "Buster" Salter of Nekoosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Tom Salter; twin sister Kay Gilman; and granddaughter, Ashley Terril-Fuller.
