Daughter of James White, who had emigrated from Ireland, and Margaret Lawson (daughter of Hugh). Wife of Robert Carothers, who was one of the "Cabarrus Black Boys" with her brothers James, William & John White, her cousin William White and others. Robert & Margaret were planning to make the move to what was then called "the Western Country" (Tennessee) after the war. Margaret died before they could make the move. Robert and several of their children moved to Sumner Co., TN after her passing. Robert's estate was probated in Sumner Co., TN; however, I have been unable to locate his grave.
