Mr. Tolf was born in Smaland Sweden on October 25, 1847, and came to this country as a young man. He was a veteran employee at the U.S.W.E. and P. Company shop, having worked as a blacksmith there for many years. He was active in his work until his last illness made his retirement necessary.
Mr. Tolf is survived by his wife, four sons, Henry and Clarence of Dekalb, Frank of Taft Cal., and Wesley of this city, and two daughters, Mrs. Alfred Lund and Mrs. Arthur Nelson. Three sisters also survive, Mrs. John Peterson, Miss Christine Tolf both of this city, and Mrs. Carl Youngren of Chicago.
Funeral services were held yesterday at 2 o'clock at the late home and at 2:30 from the Swedish Methodist Church, the Rev. G.H. Johnson officiating. Interment was in West Batavia Cemetery."
