Born May 20, 1923 passed away Thursday, May 28, 1992, at Presbyterian Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He attended Capitol Hill United Methodist Church. He was a maintenance supervisor at Ralston-Purina for 39 years before he retired June 1, 1985. Ray truly enjoyed his retirement, traveling, golfing and working in his woodwork shop.

Ray was very proud of his active duty service during WW II. He served aboard the LCI-346 in the South Pacific from March 1943 through October 1945, and was looking forward to hosting the LCI-346, 438 and 457 Naval Reunion in Oklahoma City in September, 1992. Ray was also a 20 year charter member of the Moore Evening Lions Club and held several offices while a member.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mat and Martha Malicoat, of Pauls Valley.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jerry Malicoat; one son, Terrell Ray Malicoat, of Madera, CA; one grandson, Matthew Ray Malicoat, and his wife, Vina, of Castle Air Force Base; three beautiful great grandchildren, Erica, Devin Ray and David Ray; one brother and sister-in-law, Walt and Norma Malicoat, of OKC; one sister, Jane Morgan, of Salinas, CA; several brothers and sisters-in-law. Ray also leaves behind many loving and caring friends, and "Golfing Buddies".

Services: Monday in the South Colonial Chapel, with the Reverends Lowrie Welton and Harold Leveridge officiating. Burial will be at Moore Cemetery.
