Denison--Services for Dixie C. Gordon, 94-year-old retired Denison farmer and music teacher, who died Wednesday at a
Denison hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bratcher Funeral Chapel. The Rev. A.D. Campbell of the Harless Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman. Mr. Gordon was born in Collin County, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pitts Gordon, and was married to Melissa Katherine Carmichael on Oct. 12, 1902 in Desert. He was a member of the Harless Methodist Church where he served as choir director for 14 years. He also operated service stations, and was a Watkins salesman. Surviving are his sons, Ancil Gordon of Seagraves and J.T. Gordon of Big Springs; daughters, Mrs. Winnie Nicholas of Denison and Mrs. Tom McKee of Bells; 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Their children were Ancil Herbert, Oscar Austin, Winnie Aleta, Joseph Pitts Jr. "J.P." and Naomi Elizabeth.
