Mrs. Annie Allison of Dallas, well known former resident of Athens, died of a cerebral hemorrhage Tuesday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the home of her son, George W. Allison Jr., Dallas attorney.
Mrs. Allison, resident of Athens for 46 years, went to Dallas to make her home with her son four months ago.
She was born on November 16, 1876, in Hill county, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.R. B. Jones, and was married in that county in 1900 to George W. Allison Sr. Mr. Allison, an Athens attorney died on June 30, 1929.
Mrs. Allison was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are one son, George W. Allison Jr., Dallas; two brothers, B.B. Jones of Brandon and Roy C. Jones of Waco; and one sister, Mrs. Cosy Brashear of Uvalde.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Carroll & Lehr Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. O.W. Hooper and the Rev Kermit Hollingsworth officiating.
Interment will be in the family plot at the City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hobson Green, Homer Lee Parsons, Ed Green Walker, Lacy Cox, Eugene Spencer, N.A. Wallace, Bradshaw Willingham, Wayne Justice, Buddy Miller, John Dean, Jean Day and W.R. Thomas.
