A report is current that on last Wednesday morning Miss Dedrick, a daughter of Richard Dedrick, of this township left the house to look for the cows and while looking for them she was met by one Joseph Whitehead, who caught her and made an attempt to use her improperly. She screamed so that he let her go and her mother hearing her started to see what the trouble. Complaint was made to Squire Ed-mondson and last Saturday was the day set for the trial. The case was dismissed on account of no one to prosecute.
