A Funeral Mass for Theresa F. Lalone, 74, of Ford Street in Ogdensburg will be held on Friday (Jan 2, 2009) beginning with a prayer service at 9:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home followed by a mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral with Rev. F. James Shurtleff and Rev. Terry LaValley co-officiating. Entombment will be at Foxwood Memorial Park.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Fox-McLellan Funeral Home . Mrs. Lalone passed away Monday (Dec 29, 2008) at St. Joseph's Nursing Home.

Surviving is her husband Louis; three sons, Dale Lalone and his wife Lisa of Portland, ME, Christopher Lalone of Syracuse, and Scott Lalone and his wife Kimberly of Ogdensburg; two daughters, Jodi Fowler and her husband William of Brentwood, NH, and Lori Rafferty and her husband Pat of Ogdensburg; three sisters, Eva Shurtleff of Ogdensburg, Bernadette Thrall of Ogdensburg, and Rosalee Roberts and her husband William of NJ; four brothers, George Bruyere and his wife Theresa, Jack Bruyere and his wife Irma and Robert Bruyere all of Ogdensburg, and Joseph Bruyere and his wife Hilda of CA; eleven grandchildren, Abby, Ashley, Amanda, Peyton, Caroline and Emma Lalone, Matt and Dillon Fowler, William, Timothy and Katie Rafferty; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Lalone was predeceased by sisters, Mary Doe, and Alice Jackson; two infants; and two brothers, Patrick and Emile Bruyere.

She was born on November 22, 1934 in Ogdensburg, a daughter of the late Oliver and Bella (Gauthier) Bruyere. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy and married Louis Lalone on March 28, 1953 at Notre Dame Church with Rev. Msgr. A.D. Charbonneau officiating.

Mrs. Lalone was employed as a teller/bookkeeper for many years working at the Ogdensburg Trust Company, 5th Avenue Bank in Anchorage, Alaska and the Bank of Geneva during her career. In 1966 she and her husband operated the Lalone's Chevron station in Ogdensburg where she continued her bookkeeping skills. On Feb 2, 1990 she retired to enjoy more time with her family, going on walks, sunday rides in the car, cruises and traveling.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the St. Joseph's Nursing Home or the Claxton Hepburn Medical Center Foundations.
