Lynn Edward Myers, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Thursday September 11, 2008 after a brief illness. He was born March 6, 1926 in Bennington, Okla. to John and Ursie (Cross) Myers. He graduated from Mustang High School and served his country as a member of the US Army during post WWII in Germany and also during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Wonder Bread, retiring in 1981. He was co-owner of Betty's Day Care Center. He was a Deacon, a Sunday School teacher and loved to sing in the choir and on the Laymen, Inc. Radio Broadcast Weekly. He was a member of Knob Hill Baptist Church for many years and at the time of his death, was a member of First Baptist Church of Mustang. He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home, three sons Wayne Myers and wife Rosie of OKC, Alan Myers and wife Sandra of Bella Vista, AR, Keith Myers and wife G.G. of Mustang, OK, three daughters Debbie Browne, Kathy Myers and Rhonda Myers, all of OKC. He is also survived by three brothers John Myers and wife Lola, Bill Myers and wife Zetta and Charles Myers and wife Donna, all of Mustang, two sisters Lois Speegle of Mustang and Colleen Brand and husband Joe of Louisville, KY. Also by ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Survivors also include seven step-children and ten step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his late wife and mother of his children, Betty, his brother Harold Myers, his sister Mary Bales and two granddaughters Christi and Misti. Services will be held at 11am on Saturday September 13, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Mustang,OK with interment following at Mustang Cemetery under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK.
