Mrs. Julia F. Davis, Thonotosassa, pioneer resident of Hillsborough County, died last night at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Pierre Chive, New Orleans. She was 78 years old.
Mrs. Davis was the widow of Andrew Jackson Davis, who died at Thonotosassa in September and was a prominent resident of that section. She had lived with her daughter in New Orleans since the death of her husband.
The body will be brought here for interment, with the F.T. Blount Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
In addition to Mrs. Chive she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Jimmie Pemberton and Mrs. E.M. Ashworth, Portsmouth, N.H., four sons, N.M. Davis and R.I. Davis, Thonotosassa and L.M. Davis and John F. Davis, Tampa; a sister, Mrs. Josephine Gavin, Dover; a brother Robert Baker, Plant City; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
