James Rufus Baggett, 65, RT 1, Rentz, died unexpectedly early this morning in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p. m. Friday at Baker Baptist Church with Rev. W. L. Currie and Rev. LeRoy Hilliard officiating. Burial will be in MT Zion Cemetery. A life long resident of Laurens County, Mr. Baggett was the son of the late E. O. Baggett and the late Alma Thomas Baggett of Laurens County. He was a member of the Baker Baptist Church, a retired farmer and was married to the late Mary Fountain Baggett of Laurens County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 9:00 p. m. Townsend Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
