Mandy Ellen Williams, age 89, died Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at a Garland, TX hospital after a short illness. She was born July 4, 1919 in Alex, OK to George Franklin and Annie Rose (Burris) Holbrook and grew up in that general area. She came to Oklahoma City in the early forties and worked many years at John A. Brown, which later became Dillards. She loved to sew, quilt, do handwork and loved to play dominos. She was a member of Penn South Church of Christ. Mandy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ruben, one daughter JoAnn, one son Tommy, three grandchildren Terry, Kelli and Debbie. Also by two brothers Arthur and George and one sister Nettie. Survivors include one son Bob Williams and wife Gerlinde of Newcastle, one daughter Donna Maples and husband Ken of Garland, TX, fifteen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. Services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Penn South Church of Christ in Oklahoma City with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
