Van E. Crew, 56, died at Henry county Memorial Hospital about 1 a.m. Monday, Feb, 3, 1975
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Crew he was born Sept 12, 1918 at Fairfield.
He was a resident of Mt. Pleasant for the last 35 years.
On Aug. 24, 1940, at Kahoka, Mo., he was married to Roma White, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons and two daughters, Gayle Crew of Greeley, Colo., Mrs. Waunita Moralez of Cheyenne, Wyo., Michael of Guthrie Center, Robbie of Mt. Pleasant, Gregg and Kimberly, both at home; four sisters and two brothers, Mrs. J. M. Johnson of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Harold Cline, Mrs. Ralph Morris, Mrs. James Sears and Kenneth Crew, all of Wayne County, Iowa and Audubon crew of Fairfield, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist church. the Rev. Charles Comfort, pastor of the church, will officiate with interment in Grant Cemetery
The family will receive friends at the Crane-Ewart-Young Funeral Home Tuesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m.. Those friends who desire may contribute to the Heart Fund in memory of Mr. Crew.
