Carl Frisby was born to Jonathan and Bessie Frisby on Jan. 31, 1912 at Basin, Wyoming. He entered the Army at age 16 and retired from the Army in 1950. He served in Australia, New Guinea, the Phillipines, and in Japan. He received the Bronze Star for meritorious service in Manila and the Asiatic-Pacific Army Commendation Ribbon for his work in communications in Japan. Following retirement, he taught at the University of Georgia Off Campus Center and at American University at Fort Benning. He married Mary Cunningham-Taylor and raised her daughter Betty Lou as his own. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Dean. Survived by his wife and daughter, three brothers; Roy E. Frisby of Washington, D.C., Robert W. Frisby of Cody, Wyoming. and Wayne L.Frisby of Vandenburg Air Force base, California. and three sisters Louise (Charles) Marlow of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Katherine Mable (Francis) Jacquot of Casper, Wyoming,and Doris (William) Powell of Omaha,Ne.
