Honey Girl was part retriever and lab. She was a very loving dog and was always available to be petted. The first thing you noticed about her were her big brown eyes and yellow fur. She was at your side instantly as you came out the door or when sitting on the porch. Even though she grew to be a 50 pound dog, she still would try to get on your lap.
She died Wednesday, October 1, 2008 after a two day illness. Her death was very unexpected, but due to gallbladder infection, her passing was swift. She is buried at home. Her mother, Sophie, died in December, 2008 of the same disease and is buried nearby.
