Edd Hanna was born in Table Rock, December 1, 1886, to Frank and Mary Hanna, who came to this country from Czechoslovakia. He passed away at his home January 25, 1945, at the age of 58 years, 1 month and 24 days, having been a resident of this community for all but a few years spent in Madison County, Nebraska.
While a young man, Mr. Hanna was employed as a grocery clerk, and later went into the grocery and variety business in Table Rock for himself in the former Community Bank building. After 20 years as a businessman here, he retired from active business, and in the past two years has been helping out as attendant at the Burow Bros. Oil Co.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, Jan. 29th, at the Kovanda chapel, with Rev. Ward Merritt, Humboldt, in charge. Interment and burial was made in the Bohemian cemetery east of Table Rock.
Surviving him are his wife, Anna, and three children, Mrs. Evelyn Miller of Tecumseh; Mrs. Elsie Kyle of Burbank, Calif., and son Edwin, at home. Besides, he leaves to mourn his death three sisters, Mrs. Mary Hubka, Table Rock, Mrs. Minnie Buman, Pawnee City, and Mrs. Lillie Boyd, Table Rock, and two brothers, Charles of Table Rock and Roy of Pawnee City, and many other relatives and friends.
