Maggie L. Staton, 96 of Middletown passed away on December 24, 2008 at Garden Manor Retirement Village. She was born on May 31, 1912 in Menifee Co., Kentucky to Joseph Perry & Cleo (Whittger) Cecil. She was a member of the Tytus Avenue First Church of God and worked as a cook at the Dixie & Star Glow Theaters for 20 years, retiring in 1982.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Billie T. Staton in 1992, a granddaughter; Janet Staton in 1988, three brothers; Dave, Courtney and Edgar Cecil and two sisters; Zelma Noble and Edna Hobbs.

She is survived by her daughter; Geneva Reynolds of Lake Erie, Ohio, her sons; Courtney Staton of Sudith, KY and Bill Staton Jr. of Concord, NC, seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Sun., 12/28 from 3-5:00 pm at the Baker-Stevens Funeral Home with A Celebration of Life Service also there on Mon., 12/29 at 10:00 am. Burial will be in the Woodside Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family via our website @ www.baker-stevens.com
