Amanda Susan Krick was the daughter of Frank Krick and Catherine Burkey. Known as Susan Krick she was married four times. Her first husband, Adam Wilson Hollenbach, abandoned her and her three children, William, Katie, and Nevin. The children were farmed out to relatives. In 1908 Susan married William Kurr with whom she is buried. William and she had one son, Warren. William died in 1920 during the administration of chloroform for a tooth extraction. In 1921 Susan married Henry Muth. In 1925 Henry Muth died from injuries received when farm machinery fell on him, pinning him and crushing his chest. In 1928 Susan married Aaron J. Schaeffer with whom she lived until his death at age 85.
