Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Saterfiel of West Monroe were held July 12 at 11 a.m. at Conway Baptist Church, located in the Conway Community near Farmerville. Bro. Terry Mims and Bro. Matt Taylor officiated. Her grandsons served as pallbearers.
Burial followed in the church cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
Mrs. Saterfiel passed away July 9 at the age of 93 years and one day. She was born July 8, 1915 in Union Parish to her parents James Perry and Ada Green Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; her husband of almost 70 years, Rev. Hermon Saterfiel; her eldest son, James Hermon and his wife, Beverly and their daughter, Debbie Clark; and a daughter, Carol Avant.
She is survived by three daughters: Mary Kazarian and husband, John of Calhoun; Sharon Knox of Calhoun and Paula Knox and husband, Earl of West Monroe; one son, Carl Saterfiel and wife, Sharon of Shelbyville, TX; one brother, Oral Lee Kennedy and wife, Quincy of Farmerville; one sister, Charlene Kozlowski of Sidney, NY; 19 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Conway Baptist Church Parsonage Fund or the church cemetery fund.
