Mr. Kennedy, a repairman/meter reader for Ark-LA Gas, went to his heavenly home November 16th, 2014. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served on the USS Chandler during the Korean conflict. He retired from Ark-LA Gas after many years of service, custom made guitars and fiddles, enjoyed making clocks, and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He loved and served the Lord, taking time for over 20 years visiting and singing in the area nursing homes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Ada Kennedy; infant daughter, Kimberly Kay Kennedy; sister, Faye Saterfiel; 4 brothers: William "Toad" Kennedy, Babe Kennedy, Graham Kennedy and Glendele Kennedy.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 58 years, Lou Quincy Watson Kennedy of Farmerville; 1 sister, Charlene Kozlowski of Sidney, New York; a number of nieces, nephews; special friends: Paul & Gladys Wilhite, Ralph & Sharon Kilpatrick and the rest of the band of Strings for the Master; and a host of friends.
Pallbearers are Terry Rigdon, Danny Saterfiel, Erick Knox, Zachary Beaird, Michael Beaird, Johnny Rigdon and Mickey LaBeff. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Faith Baptist Church.
Visitation is 5-8PM Wednesday at Farrar Funeral Home
