Carson City Gazette, Thurs., Dec. 5, 1935 BUSHNELL CENTER
Mrs. Angeline Hanchett, Bushnell township's oldest resident, passed away at her home here Monday afternoon at the age of 96 years, two months and two days. Her husband preceded her in death four years ago last May, within a few days of his 97th birthday.
Two children were born to them, Irving, who passed away 55 years ago, and Mrs. Cora Sherd, still living. There are six grandchildren, Mrs. Fred Flisher of Battle Creek, Berkley, Mahlon and Merritt Sherd of Grand Rapids, Leslie of Bushnell and Irving of North Shade; 25 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, Mabel Galloup. Grandma Hancett, as she was called by all, was loved by everyone. For nearly two years her grandson, Leslie and wife have cared for her and have done all they could to make her comfortable. She passed away Monday afternoon about two o'clock while asleep.
Funeral services were held at her late home Friday afternoon. Rev. Dull of Reading gave a fine sermon. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. Burial took place in the Palo cemetery beside her husband and son. She will be missed by all.
