Mrs. Esther Brown Hill, wife of Rev. Charles E. Hill of Red Bank, died of paralysis last Thursday, aged 74 years. She was taken down with the grip about three months ago and owing to her advanced age she was unable to rally. Three weeks ago she was stricken with paralysis and she declined rapidly from that time. Mrs. Hill was born at Knox, New York. She married Rev. Charles E. Hill in 1849. They celebrated their golden wedding two years ago. She had been a resident of Red Bank for eighteen years. Mrs. Hill possessed many excellent traits of character and was of valuable assistance to her husband in his work in the ministry. Besides a husband seven children survive Mrs. Hill. They are Mrs. John B. Bergen, Mrs. George R. Lamb, Charles S. Hill and Whital Hill of Red Bank; Mrs. Charles G. Hill of Newark, William C. Hill of New York and Mrs. Francis R. Fithian of Camden. The funeral was held on Monday at half-past one o'clock at the house. The service was in charge of Rev. A. E. Ballard of Ocean Grove. Other ministers who took part in the service were Rev. S. H. Thompson of the Presbyterian church, Rev. John B. Haines of the First Methodist church, Rev. E. J. Kulp of Grace church, and Rev. Robert MacKellar of the Episcopal church. The pall-bearers were the four sons-in-law of Mrs. Hill and two grandsons. The sons-in-law were George R. Lamb and John B. Bergen of Red Bank, Charles E. Hill of Newark and Francis R.
