Obituary:

Oscar Earneston Foley, 93, of Columbia died Sunday, Jan. 10, 1999, at Boone Retirement Center.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at First Church of God with pastors Jim Luttrell and Bill Miller officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, at Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Foley was born March 2, 1905, in Boone County to Daniel Earneston and Margaret Pollock Foley.

He married Aleta Mary Anderton on June 26, 1926, and she preceded him in death.

He was a member of First Church of God. He owned and operated Foley's Garage from 1951 to 1963. Later he owned and operated Oscar Foley & Sons Construction from 1963 to 1983.

Survivors include four sons, Harold Foley, Leon Foley, William Foley and James Foley, all of Columbia; a daughter, Anita Foley Adams of San Bernadino, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and three sisters.
